Description

Moonlight is creeping down the slopes and gradually illuminates the scene. The mountain in the foreground is still in shadows which creates a strong contrast to the moonlit snowy mountains behind. As Rayleigh-scattering also effects moonlight (short wavelengths scattered stronger than long waves), in a moonlit night the atmosphere appears blue as well.
